WSCBC is an independent, Bible-based church.  The church’s mission is to make mature disciples of Christ by proclaiming him according to God’s Word the Bible.

Our Senior Pastor is Matt Greenwood.  Matt worked as an accountant for a few years before being ordained as an Anglican Minister in Sydney, NSW.  After seven years there, he served two years with the Anglican Church in Perth, before joining WSCBC in 2005.  He has a Bachelor of Divinity, and a Master of Arts (Theology).

The affairs of WSCBC are conducted by the Western Suburbs Community Bible Church Incorporated, a not-for-profit organisation.  The incorporated association is governed by a constitution.  Click here to download a copy of the WSCBC constitution.

The management of the incorporated association is undertaken by the Administration Committee, which consists of the Senior Pastor and other members of the church.  This Committee meets regularly, and is responsible for all administrative affairs, including financial arrangements, of the church.

The incorporated association is also supported by a Board of Reference.  The Board consists of people who have a mature Christian commitment, and who are not members of the church.  The Board’s role is to support the church in achieving its mission, and to be available for consultation regarding church matters.

WSCBC is informally affiliated with a number of other independent evangelical churches across Australia as part of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC) - in places such as the Central Coast, the Lakes, Maitland, Orange, Bathurst, Albury, Newcastle, Wagga (all in NSW), Canberra (ACT), Brisbane (QLD), and Curtin (WA).
